Breakout Season for Kinne

Ralph Kinne

Shelton (Wash.) running back Ralph Kinne talks about his huge senior season and where things stand in recruiting…

Coming into the season, most recruiting fans weren't aware of Shelton (Wash.) running back Ralph Kinne. One season and over 2,300 yards later, few aren't aware of the talented athlete.

"I knew it was going to be a great outcome, we put in so many hours in the weight room," said Kinne. "But I didn't expect it to be this good."

The 5'10" 210lbs back talked about what he thinks separates him from the competition.

"I always like to hit the whole hard," said Kinne. "I have great strength and that collaborates with my speed. I am a hard runner, and I am working hard to play in college."

College coaches seem to be taking notice as well.

"I have talked to Hawaii and coach Chow," said Kinne. "I just talked to Washington coaches, they are trying to wait and see what they want to take. I have talked to Washington State as well."

Hawaii seems to be the closest to offering and Kinne talked about where things stand.

"They have been waiting, they want a chance to talk to me in person," said Kinne. "I have talked to some other schools as well like Cornell and Ivy league schools."

Kinne is open to any program and any offer at this point, but does have a dream for where he would play.

"I would like to play in the Pac-12, that is my dream." Said Kinne. "But I am open to wherever the wind takes me. I would like to play close to home, in the Northwest. I would also want to play in the Ivy league."
