O-D Bowl: West Prospects

A look at the prospects from the West playing in the Offense-Defense Bowl in Houston on December 30th...

Offense/Defense All-American Game (December 30th, 7:00 PST, Comcast Sports, Direct TV Channel 696, Telecast time TBD)

The O-D Bowl will take place at Reliant Stadium in Houston, and while there isn't a ton of West Coast flavor to it, there are still a handful of prospects from the region playing in it.

And it's an even split, four players on offense, four players on defense.

Offense

Leading the way offensively for the West is San Diego (Calif.) Madison running back Pierre Cormier, a commit to Arizona.

Cormier helped lead Madison to the CIF State D-III championship earlier this month, and he'll look to end his career with another win.

Rancho Cucamonga (Calif.) Los Osos receiver Victor Bolden is headed to Oregon State, and his future team is playing the night before in the same state (in the Alamo Bowl), so Bolden is hoping for a nice week for himself in the Lone Star State.

Two Colorado natives are on the roster, both on offense.

Ralston Valley (Colo.) offensive tackle Dan Skipper has been committed to Tennessee, but with Derek Dooley's firing, is taking official visits to other schools.

Parker (Colo.) Chaparral tight end Mitch Parsons was a longtime commit to Colorado who opened things up and is now looking at Ole Miss and Vanderbilt pretty closely.

Defense

Two Scout 300 prospects from the West are on the roster, both from California.

Tulare (Calif.) Mission Oak four-star middle linebacker Kevin Palma, a commit to Stanford, will anchor the defense.

He'll be joined by Westlake (Calif.) four-star cornerback Dashon Hunt, who's focused on three schools, Oregon State, Boise State and Nebraska.

Also in the secondary is another Arizona verbal, Devin Holiday, a cornerback from San Marcos (Calif.) Mission Hills.

And Los Angeles (Calif.) Crenshaw athlete Mossi Johnson, a commit to UCLA, is also on the squad to play cornerback, one of the number of positions he can play.
