Warrior Volleyball: Hawaii regains top spot

The Men of War move back to the top of the coaches poll after sweeping Long Beach State last week.

The University of Hawaii Warrior volleyball team moved back to the top of the latest rankings after taking two matches from Long Beach State on the road last week.

 

Hawaii regained the top spot after spending the last two weeks at number two behind UC-Irvine, who fell in four games to Cal State Northridge last Friday.

 

The Men of War received 8 of the 16 first place votes. Pepperdine got 5 votes, BYU two and UC-Irvine the final vote by the coaches.

 

Hawaii returns to action this Thursday evening at the Stan Sheriff Center as they host eighth ranked Cal State Northridge. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
